Fortnite FNCS Season 5: Dates,Format,Prize Pool,Twitch Drops and everything you need to know
One of the best parts of any Fortnite season is the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS), where the best players across the world compete for their share of a large prize pool and to be the crowned the best player.
Here is everything you need to know about the Season 5 FNCS tournament.
Dates
Fortnite Season 5 FNCS tournament kicks off on Thursday February 4th.
FNCS runs for 4 weeks each Thursday-Sunday.
The tournament will conclude on February 28th with the Grand Finals.
Thursday is for Middle East open qualifiers, while the rest of the open qualifiers happen on Friday.
Saturday and Sunday is where the top teams who qualified compete to determine who moves onto the Grand Finals.

Format
Epic Games have announced that the format for the Season 5 FNCS, and every FNCS in 2021, will be Trios.
Meaning teams of three will each compete to become the greatest team in their region.
Live Coverage
On Saturday and Sunday the Fortnite castors commentate the tournament on Twitch and YouTube.
The casters include Zeke, MonsterDFace, Sundown, Aussie Antics, Reiss, and ShyoWager.
Last season the times were
FNCS PROGRAMMING SCHEDULE - ALL TIMES IN US-EASTERN (ET)
● 1:00pm - Broadcast begins
● 1:15pm - Live EU coverage
● 5:15pm - Live NAE coverage
● 8:30pm - Approximate end
So we can expect a similar schedule this season too.
Twitch Drops
Viewers on Twitch will be able to earn FNCS-themed Fortnite items, including a Spray and Emoticon.
Make sure your Epic account is already linked to Twitch and that you’re watching a drops-enabled channel.
Prize Pool
The Season 4 FNCS prize pool was $5 million, shared across all regions.
It is expected that the prize pool will be similar this season too.
